{"id":1699,"date":"2021-03-05T12:18:02","date_gmt":"2021-03-05T12:18:02","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cinfotech.co.uk\/?p=1699"},"modified":"2021-03-05T12:23:22","modified_gmt":"2021-03-05T12:23:22","slug":"fortel-nijjer-ir35-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cinfotech.co.uk\/?p=1699","title":{"rendered":"Fortel Nijjer : IR35 update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"font-source-sans-pro ml-xl-5\">From the 6th April 2021 the Off Payroll rules will be extended to the private sector, changing the obligations to determine the tax position of those individuals who provide their services to an end user client through a personal service company (PSC).<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-source-sans-pro ml-xl-5\">These changes will mean a<a href=\"https:\/\/themagazineplus.com\/2020\/02\/03\/fortel-announces-sat-nijjer-as-chief-executive-officer\/\"> PSC<\/a> will no longer be responsible for complying with the IR35 legislation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-source-sans-pro ml-xl-5\">Instead, the end user of the PSC (the client) must assess the IR35 status of each engagement, and if the client determines the engagement to be &#8216;inside IR35&#8217;, the fee-payer must deduct tax and national insurance deductions before remitting the remaining balance to the PSC.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-source-sans-pro ml-xl-5\">Such changes have been in place for PSC\u2019s operating in the public sector since 2017.
